yay! we love the floral design on this simple little 70's style jug. It holds a really useful full pint, so we're thinking milk and cookies on a rainy afternoon with this pretty little jug as the centrepiece :O)
Give my Gran's 1950's Chocolate Cookie Recipe a go!
2oz (60 gms) Margarine
2oz (60 gms) sugar
3 dessertspoons cocoa powder
4oz (120gms) plain flour
1 level teaspoon baking powder
a few drops of vanilla essence
Icing sugar, butter and cocoa for chocolate icing. Rather than weigh, I always mix this up to taste.
Cream the fat and the sugar together. Add the flour, cocoa and baking powder, alternately with the beaten egg. Add vanilla essence. The cookie dough should be stiff. Roll out on a cool board to 1/4 inch (1/2 cm) thickness and cut into rounds. Place on a lightly greased tin. Bake at 350-375c (gas mark 3-4). Cook for 20 minutes. When cold sandwich together with chocolate icing if desired.
