Retro china, glassware & kitchenalia to buy

our blog

yay retro! loves Artwork by Angie!

It never ceases to amaze how many ultra talented people there are out there,  and at this time of year it's great to 'bump into them' on Facebook as it really does help with birthday and Christmas present buying (all of our family birthdays pretty much happen between now and end of the year!)

People like Angie, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Somerset, UK, whose website Artwork by Angie, was launched in the summer of 2010. Angie trained in Graphic Design (Illustration) and had spent at least 12 years working in the advertising industry, before setting up her own business. She says she loves to 'create cheerful, pretty and sometimes witty illustration prints, greetings cards, stationery and gift wrap'.

With most of her designs being inspired by all things typically British and nostalgic, we adore her range of greetings cards which feature camper vans, caravans, camping and the original vintage mini!
Angie's work can be found in many UK high street shops, including branches of Waterstones and also National Trust shops.

There are so many things we love in her shop, but I can't tell you about them here as some of them have been bought as presents for my family! Click on the pictures to visit Angie's website, or here to pop into yay retro! for a browse :O)
