Thoresbury 1940s I wish I could go!

This weekend - Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th September 2013 sees the picturesque village North Thoresby in Lincolnshire's 1940's Weekend. This takes place each September with over 5,000 visitors per year!

Lots of people dress up 1940s style, and can take trips on a vintage bus, horse and trap and even my absolute favourite a ride on a steam train.

Military re-enactors mingle with visitors, who can browse lots of vintage and craft stalls and even have tea in the village NAAFI. There is a dance on Saturday night, even the village hair salon get involved with offering coiffing and victory rolling hairdo's!  I so wish I was nearer to Lincolnshire!
