Because of the colour and the glossy finish to the glaze it appears to come from the Sherbourne range launched in 1949. However the shape of the knob, on the lid and the overall design actually suggests the earlier Streamline designs (if you know more please email email@example.com).
This is such a pretty dish, it would be a wonderful addition to your Poole Pottery collection, and with it's understated design you could also use it alongside other makes of china :O)
This extra special and rarely seen sugar bowl from the 1950s comes in Poole's ice green and mushroom (C96) colours. It has a cute pointy lid and integrated handles. The pattern number is 293. Both would be beautiful gifts for a Poole Pottery collector.
