Recently yay retro! got in touch with Anne Wilkinson who wrote the book 'Poole Twintone and Tableware' - THE yay retro! 'bible' for all things Poole!
We were rather confused about a pinky coloured early morning breakfast tray and a preserve pot we had bought, were they Pink and Seagull (C50) or Peach Bloom and seagull (C97)? Anne was so helpful, explaining how to tell the difference between the two..apparently the backstamps showed that they were both Peach as the squarish stamp was about 1955-59 and the more oval one was 59-67, so both the pieces were after the era when Pink was made.
which has lots of helpful information on the Twintone colour range, codes and shapes. Plus she has her own website about the books she has written here.
