Retro soup bowls are very popular right now, and not so easy to track down on our treasure hunting forays...so we were really pleased to find this lovely set in Dorset recently. These are from Johnson Bros' Camelot design, they are white with a deep forest green pattern and matching rich green plate. We love their very cute handles!
Perfect for a warming winter soup...here's our favourite Mushroom Soup recipe which works a treat every time!
2oz plain flour
1pt chicken (or vegetable stock)
1 pt Milk
5-8oz chopped mushrooms
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tbsn lemon juice
4 tbsn cream
splash of dry white wine
Blend the flour and the milk with the stock in a pan. Add the butter, milk, mushrooms, parsley and seasonging and simmer for 10 - 20 minutes. THEN add the lemon juice, cream and wine just before serving.blog comments powered by Disqus
