The great thing about networking and marketing our vintage china online is that we get to meet lots of very talented people with fabulous products. One of these is Sarah Hamilton who is an artist and printmaker. We think her subtle artworks are beautiful, relaxing and so happy to look at!
Sarah makes prints, paintings, woodblocks and cards. After training at Central St. Martins School of Art and Design, and with a degree and MA in Fine Art, she initally made handmade cards which sold though many shops and galleries such as The Conran Shop and Designers Guild. Sarah then developed other passions and began to create prints and paintings. Her ideas usually start from pencil drawings and include motifs such as birds and leaves.
Scandinavian ceramics and textile designs are just some of the influences in her stunning artworks. We've paired some images of her prints with a few pieces of yay retro! china from Poole Pottery and J&G Meakin, as the colours and shapes feel reminiscent of these...what do you think?blog comments powered by Disqus
