Mid-Century Kitsch Wall Art for sale

Back in the 1950s and 60s very few people could afford to travel overseas for their holidays, so that countries like Spain were seen as highly aspirational places to visit. Those people lucky enough to holiday in such sunny climes were admired, along with the items these lucky travellers brought back with them.

At the time people loved to buy ornaments and artworks which celebrated the sunshine, culture and iconography of the Mediterranean.  Items such as these metal wall artworks featuring flamenco dancers, matadors and Spanish guitars would have been highly desirable to show off to the 'Jones' next door!

Now with our love of 1950/60s kitsch, collectors adore this kind of wall art, which can become a centrepiece to a vintage styled living room. Although the bull fighter below has now sold, the other 2 pieces are still for sale at yay retro! These are a really good size, are well made and can be easily hung on the wall....Take a look and buy them here  - we can combine postage.
