Genuine 1960s Flower Power at yay retro!

The 1960s was the decade of Flower Power art and design. After the bleak war years and subsequent 'catch up' decade of the 50s when rationing was still in place; the 60s burst upon the world a deluge of bright floral designs on fabrics, china, tablewares and clothes.  Today's designers are keen to emulate the patterns developed back then, here at yay retro! we love to invest in genuine vintage wares and fill our online shop with delectable 1960s and 70s items for you to buy.

A new addition to the yay retro! vintage shop is the fabulous piece of wall art above. A huge hand painted flower from the Arthur Wood pottery, this Scandinavian inspired design is actually a wall pocket designed to hold string and scissors in your kitchen or craft room. However, we think it would be marvellous in any room in your home!

Also, new in is this set of six bright orange floral Jersey Pottery table mats. These can also double up as pot stands, and we think you could get really creative with these and perhaps create a display on your wall as they are just like wall tiles.

Many of the fabrics and linens we have for sale are in as new condition, how about this unopened box set of Liddell table mats and napkins, complete with napkin rings? We love the bright blue abstract flowers on these and amazingly, the colours are as bright today as they would have been back in the 1960s!

Imagine your kitchen bursting with 1960s Flower Power! it's so easy at yay retro!, we have flowery vintage enamel saucepans, flowery cups and saucers, Floral Sheets, table mats and tea towels, Flowery plates, coffee pots and much, much more! Why not come into yay retro! right now and start shopping for genuine vintage home & kitchen wares?
