Vintage Round Tin Trays 1960/70s

Who would've imagined that a simple round tray could hold so much incredible artwork? These trays date from the 1960s and 70s and are the height of minimal design when it comes to their construction. Cost effective to produce, these metal trays were literally banged out in their millions. However it is the artwork printed on them which makes them SO special and utterly collectable to today's vintage devotee. Artists such as Pat Albeck were invited to contribute their work for trays such as these, which often feature daisies and flowers in quite psychedelic colour combinations.

Trays like this are the ideal way to show off your vintage china, glassware and ornaments. Simply prop them up on their side on a shelf and make an arrangement in front of your tray. Used in this way trays can look fabulous in any room in your home. As the trays are light in weight you might also think of hanging them on your wall as pieces of art. I know I would if I had more room. Imagine these on a huge white expanse of wall, add a grey or leather vintage sofa and....Boom! Vintage heaven!  Shop for trays at yay retro! today, we can combine postage if you fancy several trays at once.
