Vintage Mugs Make Great Gifts!

It's a fact that everyone loves a mug - 91% of people interviewed by ITV reported they use one for their tea. Just as well then that yay retro! have a fantastic range of vintage mugs on offer - they make a great gift any day of the year and are a quick way to add a pop of vintage into your kitchen.

One of the most sought after vintage mug brands are those made by Staffordshire Potteries in the 1960/70s. These include makers such as Coloroll, Kilncraft and Biltons who were part of the same company. You can see what we have on offer Staffordshire Pottery-wise here, and also read about the brand in the yay retro! Retropedia here. We just adore the funky patterns and bright colours on these mugs, and they look great when you have lots of different patterns together.

Arcopal's Scania pattern with it's ditsy orange flowers is probably people's next vintage mug of choice. These are made of tempered glass and are white in colour. You can read more about Arcopal in our Retropedia here.

One of the rarest mugs we have for sale in the yay retro! vintage china shop is the minimalist Contour mug from 1960s Poole Pottery (top right). This is a lovely piece for any Poole collector as they don't come up for sale very often.
