Spotting Vintage China in The Theory of Everything Movie
Of course being into 1960s and 70s homewares I couldn't help spotting all of the retro china and vintage bedding as well as being carried away emotionally! This began with good old Woods Berylware in the early university scene with Stephen's professor and fellow students at Cambridge.

Then when Jane's Mum suggested she join the church choir, a lovely Alfred Meakin teapot, cups and saucers appeared in this design...

Later whilst the couple chatted over dinner, a fab Worcesterware cake tin was in the background with an orange lid and flowery design, just like this...

Another lovely item featuring during a dinner party in the film was a cinderella Pyrex bowl exactly like this one for sale in the yay retro! shop...

I also spotted a Palissy cruet set, gorgeous vintage sleeping bags in the camping scenes and flowery vintage bedding :O)
This film is an absolute must-see, not only to come to understand Stephen Hawking, his incredible achievements, Motor Neuron disease and the practicalities of living with disability as a family. But also to be fully immersed in the 60s and 70s in the most believable, detailed way. Go and see this movie now!
