Fantastic Plastic from the 1950,60 & 70s at yay retro!

Plastic became a household sensation in the 1950s and at the time was 'the' thing to have in your home. Items such as this fabby bright flamingo pink watering can, were the absolute height of chic. We think this is a really cool addition to your vintage home. Sure my Gran had something like this in her hallway complete with a 50s plant stand.

In the 70s orange was the colour of choice for homeowners, banishing the 3 day week blues - this colour brought a much needed ray of sunshine into many homes. We love this Dialene preserve pot set which is complete with 2 teaspoons and their little woven plastic basket. Great for your kitchen, camper or caravan!

Many shops, cafes and restaurants invested in plastic fruit back in the 60s/70s, to decorate their businesses and to make it look fresh. We love the kitsch feel to this large bunch of life-sized plastic oranges and think they are the perfect decoration for a retro kitchen, cafe or bar - or perhaps a stage production :O)

Vintage plastic Tupperware remains as popular today as it's always been. Our favourite is the bright yellow colour seen above, this one has been hardly, (if ever) used!

Why not check out the huge range of vintage plastic homewares yay retro! have in stock today?  Combined postage available.
