As anyone who reads our blog regularly knows...yay retro! loves Poole Pottery!
Right now in our vintage china shop we have a large hand-painted and signed sugar bowl, and a coffee/tea pot and hot water jug decorated with flowers, in a calligraphic style. This pattern is known as Trudiana, and it is one of the rarer, more collectible Poole Patterns. This decorated pottery goes well with Poole's Sepia and Mushroom (C54) Twintone range.
Look out for our Poole Twintone Biscuit Barrel which is in stock now, and our contour shaped cups and teaplates coming soon!
Poole's Trudiana range dates from 1955. It was created by Ruth Pavely, working from a previous 1930's design by renowned designer Truda Carter for Poole's Streamline range of china, hence the name Trudiana. The designs are painted over a magnolia glaze, with sepia brown lids and interior detailing.blog comments powered by Disqus
