Poole Pottery Streamline Twintone Teapots now at yay retro!

The older Streamline shaped teapots from Poole Pottery are for me one of the stars of the Poole Pottery range. Designed in the 1930s, the pots were made up until the late 50s with a few minor changes here and there (slight alteration to the spout, and moving from a rectangular knob on the lid to a round one).

Recently, it has got  much harder to find Streamline teapots in the colours that are the most popular - ice green and mushroom, ice green and seagull, sky blue and dove grey and peach bloom (pink colour).

The lovely thing about Poole Pottery is it is very easy to mix it with any patterned china you may have, the simple matte pastel glazes really do tie in very well with most tableware. Of course many people collect one particular Twintone glaze, whilst others (like me) like to have a bit of every glaze that Poole created. The mix and match effect looks amazing I have to say!

Why not pop into the Poole Pottery section at  yay retro! now, and start or perhaps complete your Poole Pottery collection? We have teapots, plates, cup and saucers, jugs, sugar bowls, preserve pots, cruet sets, and at the moment a rare butter box (dish) from 1958...see below.

We ship Poole Pottery worldwide, many of our teapots and rarer finds are bought by people in Australia and New Zealand for instance. Please get in touch for a postage cost :O)
