Lidded Preserve & Sugar Pots from yay retro!

One of the most popular items in the yay retro! china shop are preserve pots with lids. We think this might be because they are infinitely collectable;  being small in stature and coming in a variety of shapes, patterns and designs, lidded vintage pots make a lovely, useful display.

They can be used for sugar, jam or honey in the kitchen, and buttons, bits and bobs in the craft, art room or office. They are also rather nifty when looking for a novel way to wrap a small but precious present (such as expensive chocolates or a ring).

Right now we have some lovely examples of lidded preserve pots in stock, including some rare Poole Pottery pots. We have a Streamline 1950s shaped pot in the gorgeous red indian and magnolia glaze, and 2 fab Sgraffito Sapphire Bokhara pots designed by Robert Jefferson in 1964.

Also a rather superb Scandinavian style porcelain pot from West German maker Mitterteich (above right). This has blue flowers and is totally splendid!

If teak is your thing, why not take a look at our range of 50s and 60s Wyncraft pots? We have a gorgeous light blue example, and a glass pot which comes with it's own toast rack! Also keep an eye out for our two teak and glass pots on a stand together - perfect for white and brown sugar, or jam and marmalade!
